Bug Description
It would be great to have some snapping to "smart"
guides, created dynamically depending on the object
context.
Ex: guides that will snap three objects at equal
distance, guides that will align two objects by their
middle points etc.
This would allow good page layout only by moving
objects around (without needing the grid or the align
dialog). It would be a useful addition to draw nice
diagrams now that connectors exist.
An example is attached (coming from Omnigraffle, a Mac
OS app, which has this).

I agree with this proposal. It would be great if Inkscape
had this, so called smart guides. I think in AutoCAD this
option is called OSNAP, in Adobe Illustrator is called Smart
Guides, and in Corel Draw they are called Dynamic Guides.
So, something that traces some characteristic points of
objects like CENTER, START, END, INTERSECTION itd.
This feature is really useful when you want to make some
technical sketch, where things have to be precised and only
Snap to Guide and Snap to Grid are usually not enough.
