Gradient Mesh

some kind of mesh system like in Adobe Illustrator, if
you dont know what i mean have a look at the fetures at

the gradient mesh feature was discussed on the mailing list
and it is certainly a feature that we'd like to see but it
could be very difficult to represent as SVG and supporting
more of the SVG Standard would be a priority but I am sure
it is a feature that will be added eventually.

support for what SVG describes as Envolopes will bring some
similar functionaly to Meshes but not all

I would like to see this feature. Not for svg files, but I use inkscape for a lot of web and graphic design projects where it gets saved as a png and not svg. With gradient meshes i would finally be able to use inkscape without adobe illustrator in the middle.
