I strongly disagree (this can be fixed properly in inkex.py).

We both know that we disagreed in how we understand and view units in SVG and in Inkscape in the past, so let's just agree to disagree on this issue, too.

The message the project sends to authors of custom extensions (developed and maintained externally) is clear too: migrate all of your custom python-based extensions away from any python modules distributed with Inkscape as soon and as entirely as possible.
