I'm guessing that you'll be asked for your version (build number) and
platform along with an example file in which this is not working for you.

FWIW I don't have this problem in inkscape-0711021622 on Slackware 12
linux.

Is it possible that something locally is bound to ctrl-shift-0 and so the
command is not being passed to inkscape? Have you tried clicking "outset"
in the "path" menu?

Sorry I neglected to mention the version I was using. I originally posted
this while using Inkscape 0.45.1 on Windows Vista Business, but I get the
same problem with Inkscape-0711021622. I'm currently downloading
0711071918, and if that works, I'll make another post.
Thanks for Responding

So, after trying build 0711071918, Ctrl+Shift+) still doesn't work.
Clicking outset in the path menu works fine. Unfortunately, I can't seem to
find anything else bound to the shortcut. So it must be either a problem
with the windows builds or my computer.
Thanks Again,
-John

is this still an issue?

Changed in inkscape:
importance: Undecided → Low
status: New → Incomplete

Unfortunately this is still an issue in the January 19th build.
"Ctrl"+ ")" (or "ctrl" + "shift" + "0") still does not function properly
while "Ctrl" + "(" does .
Since I originally posted this bug, I have reformatted my computer, and I
can't seem to find any other operations bound to this particular shortcut,
so I don't think it's my computer that's causing the problem.

Thanks for getting back to me.

There are a few comments around the web about ctrl-shift-0 not working under Vista specifically... (not a very detailed source, but see the comments in: http://my.opera.com/desktopteam/blog/and-another-one?startidx=150 )

Another question: do you use a KVM? Or is your keyboard connected directly to your PC?

Hey,

Not using a KVM but I am using a USB keyboard attached to my laptop. The
problem occurs when using both the USB Keyboard and the built in one. Hope
that provides some help.

This is a Vista issue not Inkscape. When googling for this every app that has this shortcut exhibits this problem on Vista. In a couple places when I was reading it mentioned a program called AutoHotkey http://www.autohotkey.com and this was used to workaround the Vista issue.

Changed in inkscape:
status: Incomplete → Invalid

No need to use autohotkey.

This sequence is used by Vista to change input language. You can just turn it off and then your Ctrl+Shift+0 will WORK! Hooray.
