I get an error like this from most of the effects. I installed PyXML as follows and still get the errors.
$cd /Library/Python/2.5/site-packages/PyXML-0.8.4/
$sudo python setup.py install
Compilation messages looked normal, no errors.
OSX10.5.1, inkscape 45.1, python 2.5
