both spreadMethods 'reflect' and 'repeat' (in Inkscape 'Repeat: reflect' and 'Repeat: direct') produce an increased number of stops and overall greater distance between start and end stop on export to PDF. Only spreadMethod 'pad' (in Inkscape 'Repeat: none') keeps the the same number of stops on export to PDF and is correctly rendered after re-import to Inkscape.

The gradient in each exported PDF is visually rendered the same way as in Inkscape (PDF Viewer: Apple Preview).

(testcase: square with gradient from blue to red, 2 stops, no transparency, Inkscape r22544, cairo 1.8.8)
