0.92 on Windows 7, 32bit: crash after 3-5 minutes of editing

Inkscape 0.92, Windows 7, 32bit, 4GB RAM

The user starts Inkscape (via menu/button, or via command line), then works a little in it, just editing some Béziers, or some text, watches how Inkscape's memory consumption rises (says to 300 MB), then Inkscape suddenly crashes after 3 to 5 minutes with:

(inkscape.exe:3996): Gdk-WARNING **: gdkpixmap-win32.c:251: GetDC failed: The handle is invalid.

Gdk:ERROR:gdkdrawable-win32.c:2040:_gdk_win32_drawable_finish: assertion failed:
(impl->hdc_count == 0)

(cairo has been updated for the 32bit devlibs since that report (and its duplicates) was originally filed - other dependencies, e.g. pango, possibly not)

or not - the affected user now reports the same issues after downgrading to Inkscape 0.48.4:

(AFAIK bug #1122374 affects > 0.48 only)

Almost the same error messages, but Bug #221712 is marked fixed in 0.48.
