Thanks ScislaC for finding that.
Attached patch should solve the duplicate issue.

Also added a User Preference (Behavior->Markers) to turn off the marker coloring.
Could add some more options there if needed such as :
* Copy opacity from line to marker or not.
* Change color of custom markers or not.
