Launchpad's bug tracker does not allow to track multiple issues within a single report.

For the original bug description:

Please read the tooltips of the two icons on the meshtool controls bar:
The one with the straight line symbol is a _toggle_ action to extract / retract mesh gradient node handles.
The one with the arc symbol will attempt to smooth a curved segment to approximate an elliptical arc (this requires that node handles are already extracted and form a curve similar to an arc or ellipse segment).
