See the attached example image. On the top panel I have used the path effect to apply a (repeated) pattern along the path. The deformation appears on one side, not the other, even though the path itself is symmetrical. That means it is not a simple function of the path's curvature, as would be intuitive.
The same effect isn't seen using the extension with the same settings and deformation type "snake". |
