In these cases, it's best to merge the two translations. Most of the terms will be exactly the same, but there is opportunity for review so the best translations from each can be used. This is extra work, but it does allow for a greater translation and much better politeness :-)

If it's not possible or too hard, then getting a review of the most complete translation by the author of the least complete is probably the best outcome.
