Since introduction of this patch, all application's icons on Gtk3 build expose light rectangle. It happens with dark theme turned on. The reason not many have seen this problem is probably because it is still consider much safer to start Inkscape using default (light) theme. It might be that icons.svg file is wrongly set up, though.
Icons are stock Inkscape and the Gtk theme is Gnome's default Adwaita Dark.
