The background in "Icon Preview" (under "View" in the main menu) is always rendered as transparent, rather than rendering the document background colour.

IMO, the icon preview should accurately reflect what would appear in "Page" export, which would include rendering the document background colour. The default value for this is transparent, so would only affect the icon preview if the document has a different background colour set.
