text-on-path go wild after rotate inside a group then ungroup

Bug Description

1. create a text-on-path
2. group with any other object
3. rotate the group
4. copy the group
5. ungroup those two

then the original text-on-path will switch to a strange position/orientation but it still partially attached to the path. We can still modify the text shape by changing the path. The copied group however completely lost the link between text and path.

1) Please clarify your bug summary which conflicts with the bug description: the summary says "rotate inside a group" (i.e. enter group, select objects inside group, rotate selection), whereas the steps to reproduce say "rotate the group" (i.e. rotate the group itself, not the members inside the group).

The underlying issue is already tracked in
* Bug #168286 “ungrouping rotated group with text-on-path transforms text twice”
  https://bugs.launchpad.net/inkscape/+bug/168286

2) Please also clarify step 4 in the bug description: "copy the group" - do you mean duplicate (Edit > Duplicate) or copy&paste (Edit > Copy, Edit > Paste)? This will have an effect on whether or not the text in the "copied" group is re-linked to a copy of the original linked path in the <defs> section (copy&paste), or stays linked to the original one (duplicate). Neither case will cause the copied text-put-on-path to be re-linked to the copy of the original path inside the copied group (independent of the prefs setting for clones and linked offset for duplication).

Related earlier report wrt duplicate:
* Bug #312116 “Duplicating text along path doesn't link both”
  https://bugs.launchpad.net/inkscape/+bug/312116

When copy&pasting a text-put-on-path (as part of a copied&pasted group, or by itself; within the same document or into a different one), the pasted text will always link to a (hidden) copy of the path it was originally put on, independent of whether the original path was copied&pasted along with the text. AFAIU this is intentional behavior (to preserve appearance of the pasted text-along-path) and unrelated to the issue with compensating parent transforms (e.g. on ungroup).
