Bug Description
When exporting large SVG to XCF, it appears not to be working, but (if I understand correctly), it works in the background and a few 10s of seconds later the XCF is created.
A timebar showing progress would be nice (or a dialog "please wait").
Or else the export is just not always working...

Note that with the fix of bug #967416 in place the main GUI will be blocked until the external process (output extension) has returned - no progress indicator though (not possible because the main Inkscape process cannot tell when the independently run process will have finished nor how far it is at any given moment).
