Feel free to reopen if there is stronger indication that Inkscape's cairo-based PDF export creates invalid PDF files (and that this does not reproduce e.g. with PDFs created from the same SVG source with rsvg-convert from librsvg or with svg2pdf (both also cairo-based converters for SVG->PDF)).
