Bug Description
Moving a text frame does not always leave it where it was moved to.
Using the attached svg file (just an A1 sized blank page after I deleted all the images/text) this issue shows up. Using a new default file doesn't seem to show the problem.
Select the text tool
Drag a small frame on the document
Type some text
Select the move tool
Click on and move the text to somewhere else on the document
Release the mouseclick
Text frame "disappears"
Zoom out to show a lot of the canvas and the text frame will eventually appear (usually lower right), still highlighted
It also happens if I create three or four new text frames and then move them - they each jump to the canvas.
Running Linux Mint 17, Inkscape 0.48+devel r (Jun 5 2014) from ppa

Reproduced (though not consistently) with r13437 on OS X 10.7.5 in documents with other than 'px' default units (document properties).
- Doesn't reproduce if undoing the first move, and moving the object again.
- If the flowed-text object is displaced unexpectedly, the size of the text frame changes too (this change is likely relative to the changed offset from the SVG origin of the displaced flowed-text object)
Likely related / same underlying issue as tracked in /bugs.launchpad .net/inkscape/ +bug/1278561>
- Bug #1278561 “flowed text appearance changes depending on default document units”
