The page about compiling Inkscape on OS X needs a rewrite, certainly - IMHO just editing a few places without proper attribution to which OS X version (and Inkscape version) they apply to won't really help (Mavericks in particular is a moving target each time Apple updates Xcode and its version of clang, at the same time inkscape still compiles ok on older versions of OS X too).
I'll add the tag 'documentation' to this report and will set the bug status to 'Triaged' - meaning:
The report will track progress of improving the documentation of the build process of Inkscape on OS X in the wiki.
Note that packaging (to create a self-contained relocatable application bundle) is yet another issue, but one which is not solved "just" by rewriting/improving instructions in the wiki (the current scripts in the repo are broken and outdated).
