Thank you so much for your quick response. I have a few follow-up quick questions:

1) Is Inkscape wiki as a whole outdated, especially in the developer section? I am a newbie as Inkscape developer. I want to develop Inkscape Extension and I am learning mainly from http://wiki.inkscape.org/wiki/index.php/Inkscape. Is there any other place I can get updated information about compiling, tutorials, etc?

2) How should I modify ./configure so it uses clang as default compiler instead of g++?

3) If inkscape-devel is unstable, how do I find and install the stable build instead? How "unstable" is it?
