Snap to grid not working for shapes

Bug Description

Using Inkscape 0.48+devel r12484 on Ubuntu, if I draw a rectangle or an oval with grid enabled the snapping works correctly. But If I move the rectangle, the snapping does not work. If I use the node tool, snapping works on rectangle or oval nodes as supposed.

Thank you,
Ignazio

Not really a bug: in current trunk, snapping behavior has changed: you need to enable snap cusp (and or smooth) nodes as well, to enable node snapping with the select tool (for example when moving an object).

Please confirm that snapping works as expected once you have enabled the corresponding snap options on the snap controls bar.

AFAICT the issue is already discussed in
- Bug #927898 “snap to guides no longer working for path nodes or rotation origin”
