Bug Description

I think I already submitted this report but my memory is so bad that I don't remember, plus launchpad say "no similar bug reports were found" so...

Here is the problem :
I often use the function "save a copy as" function of inkscape to export my .svg in .pdf. The problem is, this function simply doesn't care that I checked the option "'save as' uses the current working directory" in the tag "saving" (excuse my probable mistakes about the exact name of option and tab, I use the french version of Inkscape)

I think this behavior is not the right one. Because if we want to save something in the current working directory, we will also want to save a copy in the same folder.

Now, Each time I want to "save a copy as", inkscape show me the previous folder I used, which is very annoying for me, because I use Inkscape a lot, and my .svg/.pdf are in a lot a different folders.

The version used is the current one for Ubuntu (which I don't know because I am on my mac right now). And on mac, the version I use (and that doesn't work either) is : Inkscape 0.48.2 r9819

Yes, you did:
- Bug #791098 ""save a copy as” doesn't open the current folder”
  <https://bugs.launchpad.net/inkscape/+bug/791098>
The requested feature has been implemented in the meantime and will be available in the next major release (0.49).

If you ever have this problem again: visit your profile page in launchpad [1], click on the link to 'Bugs' right below your user name, and if you can't find a specific earlier report among the still open reports, search via 'Advanced search' and make sure to include 'Fix Released' reports, as well as reports marked as duplicates, or reports closed as 'Invalid' or whatever. The bug tracker search results of launchpad.net tends to hide reports from search results which are 'Committed' (i.e. fixed), but e.g. not available in a released version (aka 'Fix Released').

Alternatively: don't use a through-away email account for your launchpad account, and archive bug mail notifications so that you can search in your mail client for any (recent or older) updates about reports you filed yourself, or subscribed to.

Sorry, that's a confused explanation which isn't even correct: the search results with default options omit closed reports (marked as 'Fix Released', or 'Invalid', expired reports and those marked as 'Opinion' or 'Won't Fix') and duplicate reports.
