about popup of trunk PPA doesn't display revision number

Bug Description

I'm running 1:0.48+devel+12006+34~precise1 on ubuntu 12.04

the about popup displays only "Inkscape 0.48+devel r" <= not enough space allowed for text ?

@Alex - any plans to use cafuego's patch to retrieve the bzr revision number for the trunk PPA builds from the package changelog, as mentioned in the related thread on the mailing list?

Yes (sort of). I'd prefer to follow Krzysztof's suggestion of checking whether we're building inside a bzr environment or dpkg so that our Makefile works properly in either. I'm not sure that quilt will play nicely with native Debian packages.
