Cant print project

I have finished my project and when I press print nothing happens but my printer makes lots of noise. I have tried saving the file as a PDF and then printing but no luck. I have a brand new HP all in one and changing the size of the page does not help. I'm going to have to stop using Inkscape if I cannot print...most disappointing.

Did you manage to print from another application (word processor, bitmap editor...)?

The printing issue is known, and working with a PDF file the preferred workaround. But the fact that you PDF file doesn't print with a PDF viewer could be the sign there's something wrong with the printer's drivers.
Could you attach an example SVG file so that we can try to reproduce the bug?

Could you also provide details about your OS/platform, and Inkscape version (see Inkscape menu 'Help > About Inkscape')?

Hi I still have the issue, however if I save the file as a pdf it will
print when opened in Adobe Acrobat. I have a Microsoft XP O/S and I was/am
using the current version of Inkscape. My printer is brand new an HP
Photosmart bought in 2011, so that shouldn't be the problem....what else
did you need to know? As I would love to be able to print in Inkscape.

I guess you upgraded from WinXP. Is this still happening with 0.91 or 0.92?
