In the wiki you said "Give both a unit and put them after the quantity" about blur and opacity sliders. If I remember correctly there was a discussion about this and blur is based on the object current size so is not based on pixels. I think this was made so blur is proportional to size.

I've just checked and it is true. Maybe adding "%" or "% of size" would be enough?
