Please test the latest code (it hasn't been released as a new version yet).

To get a copy, download and extract https://github.com/umangv/indicator-stickynotes/archive/master.zip

Open the Terminal in the directory containing indicator-stickynotes.py and run ./indicator-stickynotes.py

Specifically, I want to know if the buttons have proper backgrounds. The text area should have the right background color now.
