Comment 4 for bug 688936

I find it very unlikely that this bug which occasionally appears upon upgrade from Ubuntu 10.04 to 10.10 (appeared on one of my machine, but not the 3 others) is a by-design issue.

Just tell us which file we have to delete to get this broken functionality back to normal. It is very annoying, have to reset the keyboard layout settings on every single boot.
