I was able to duplicate this in IE7 and fixed it by modifying the syntax slightly in the TreeSelect script. You will need to update I2CE from the 4.1-dev branch and let me know if this fixes your issue. Let me know if you were using a different browser as I was unable to duplicate this except with IE7.
