Hello,

I ordered a version 9.04, bought a new hard drive to run it on and loaded the os....

After loading the OS I learned there is no way to connect to the internet if you only have dial-up service in your area. I've tried the threads at Ubuntu forums to resolve the problem. The downloads fail when I attempt to load them into the os. This has taken place three times after returning from the library where I downloaded Wvdial, and gnome ppp.....

There just doesn't appear to be a clearcut, understandable solution for modem users new to the ubuntu platform. It looks like a fun OS, but.....As I understand it, there are a lot of people out here who have the same problem with securing hi-speed internet. We cannot get hi-speed internet.

How hard can it be to include modem connectivity in your OS? I'm a patient person. I look forward to some kind of modem connectivity within the OS in a near future new version release.

Thank you.
