Won't most users who care deeply about this sort of thing use manual partitioning, which shows this information?

In any case, the filesystem type is already displayed later, on the installation summary page. Partitioning changes aren't committed until after that, so you can go back and change things if they aren't to your liking. Can you confirm whether this satisfies your request?
