Well, its true that it does not affect the common user that just wants the system up and running, but when an user that wants some fine tuning of the install process or just some more info about it faces this situation, it would be better if the graph just reported what kind of filesystem is being installed.

In simpler words, it does not affect the common user, but it CAN affect users that are aware of the importance of such information.
