Bug Description

This problem is usually caused by ':' in the filename, however this is not my case.
I took good care with many trials without any special character in any filename and path.

I am using Mac OS X 10.5.6 with Hugin 0.7.0.3281 on an Intel Quad-Core Mac, using a pre-built version of Hugin for my system.

Here's the text ouput:

/var/folders/wP/wPCD1ACwFXapMyTIhljuM++++TI/-Tmp-/huginmk_JFur7G:211: *** target pattern contains no `%'. Stop.

--
Notice there's two colon in the temp path .. which Hugin created itself...

I downloaded the latest 0.7.0 from here ( http://hugin.sourceforge.net/download/ ) and tried again.

I got the same error, with pretty much the same text output.
NO colon or any special characters were used; I placed a directory in the root of my drive and asked for the project to be saved and rendered there.

the unix style path name:
/Volumes/Digital\ Est/Hugin/*project and output file in this folder*

SOLVED:
First, I rebooted ( I think it's unrelated, but my computer was running wierd, so.. )

Then, instead of drag and droping from APERTURE 2 into Hugin, I simply dragged into a working folder, and draged from the folder to Hugin. The thing is rendered so far.

Possible culprit: Aperture 2 - workaround: use a temp directory instead of direct drag and drop
Unstable system - reboot

Anyway, most of the the causes of this error should be fixed in current builds (revisions around 3600 and newer).

I had this error:
"C:\DOCUME~1\User1\DEFINI~1\Temp\hug6B.tmp:315: *** target pattern contains no `%'. Stop."

After testing everything i heard, i found that the problem was the "#" in "#PHOTO" folder where the original tiffs were. uff

My advice to u is to check all folders and filenames in source and destination paths.

(Was bug 2789151 - that was closed because this one here was assumed to be the same bug.)

Happens from PTBatcherGUI - from hugin the same project works OK.
WinXP; about-box: build 3827; splash screen: build 3784; Anyway on May 10th 2009 I believe the most recent windows build.

Projects fail when you use the # character in the file name. This one contained 3 images.

"d:\tmp\hug3B6.tmp:552: warning: overriding commands for target '2009-05-05 - 5115-5114 #' "
This is repeated 15 times with different numbers after "tmp". Then:
"make: *** No rule to make target '2009-05-05 - 5115-5114 #20000.tif', needed by '2009-05-05 - 5115-5114 #20000.tif'. Stop."

OK, it seems that I've been too eager to close one more bug. Unfortunately I can't reproduce this bug here on Linux. But I'll take look at the way how stitching is executed if there's some difference later.

The old report referred to by Joachim is bug #679179 on Launchpad. The above automatic reference is incorrect.

Trying to figure out this report. It starts as an OSX report about drag and drop problem. Drag and Drop from Aperture does not work and the user suggest a workaround. Then "nobody" files what should have been filed as a different error, on Windows. And there is an actual Window error filed by Joachim at bug #679179.

Sorry, this is too much complication to read and sort out for somebody jumping into it trying to help.

I will close this report as invalid, and reopen Joachim's bug #679179
