Hi Rickard,

Can please run "scanimage -L" command and check whether device is detected or not.
if device is not detected, re-install sane package.

Also please send us syslog file.
$) tailf /var/log/syslog > /tmp/syslog.txt

run hp-scan from another terminal and attach "/tmp/syslog.txt" file here.
