I don't know what you mean with "statement" (post?) but even without knowing this I can confirm that:
Grey scale & "Black + Color" doesn't work.
If I want to print grey scale I have to tell hplip to use only the black cartridge.
That's what I called a workaround for the problem (see my second post).
Thus, choosing "Black + Color" is not the best option (especially because I often choose grey scale when I want to print coloured documents in grey scale to save ink).
