In the HPLIP 2.8.5 sources scan/sane/hpaio.desc
looks correct.

Nevertheless I will still use my script to generate
/usr/share/sane/descriptions-external/hpaio.desc
in our sane-backends RPM from models.dat because
I like to have the USB IDs in the hpaio.desc file.

I.e. I would appreciate it if your hpaio.desc source file
has also the USB IDs - the syntax would be:
