Bug Description

Trying to execute the Hplip installation procedures fails looking for the PyQt4 libraries. Since Ubuntu 20.20 only has Python3 and PyQt5 libraries, the Driver installation procedures need to be undated to PyQt5. The HP device is HP OfficeJet Pro 6970.

Note: hp-check can be run in three modes:
1. Compile-time check mode (-c or --compile): Use this mode before compiling the
HPLIP supplied tarball (.tar.gz or .run) to determine if the proper dependencies
are installed to successfully compile HPLIP.
2. Run-time check mode (-r or --run): Use this mode to determine if a distro
supplied package (.deb, .rpm, etc) or an already built HPLIP supplied tarball
has the proper dependencies installed to successfully run.
3. Both compile- and run-time check mode (-b or --both) (Default): This mode
will check both of the above cases (both compile- and run-time dependencies).

Check types:
a. EXTERNALDEP - External Dependencies
b. GENERALDEP - General Dependencies (required both at compile and run time)
c. COMPILEDEP - Compile time Dependencies
d. [All are run-time checks]

Thanks, but I discovered that and tried to install 3.20.11! The automatic
install seemed to go all right, BUT it did not fix the problem!!! hp-check
-t asserts the printer is 'NOT hplip installed' and both the printer and
scanner don't respond so seem to be off-line.
I have a dual-boot system, and the hp device works perfectly under
Windoz(!) so the HP, the cable and usb port are OK.

There is still a bug in that latest version of hplip, sorry to say.

Thanks for the message,
Garry Marliss
