what is this plugin
There where 2 files
hplip-3.18.9.run and plip-3.18.9-plugin.run in Xenal workt everything fine

and if not where do I find the proprietary plugin. It is something
aborut certivication?

Can't you see it in the hp-doctor file

The plugin files are installed properly as seen in the hp-doctor log file.
Can you share the hp-check command output for further analysis of this issue?

I expect you just want to print and do not care how you get there?

The URI for the connection is:

hp:/usb/HP_LaserJet_Professional_M1132_MFP?serial=000000000QH65CBVPR1a

(Check this with 'lpinfo -v'. Look for usb:// in the output).

Now do

lpinfo -m | grep "m1132_mfp.ppd"

to get the PPD (drv:///hpcups.....).

Then:

lpadmin -p test -v <URI> -E -m <PPD>

Print with

lp -d test /etc/nsswitch.conf

Hello,

Thanks for your tips. Unfortunately I could not test ist yet. There
where som other issues not regurading the printer and I switchted back
to Ubuntu 16.04. Will rrety it the next days.
