2014-10-05 23:27:38 Howard Moreland description openSUSE 13.2 beta1, KDE, 32-bit, kernel-default 3.16.2 Printer is HP LaserJet Pro MFP M127fn Installed hplip 3.14.6 provided with openSUSE To add printer, hp-setup chose driver: /usr/share/cups/model/manufacturer-PPDs/hplip/hp-laserjet_pro_mfp_m127fn-hpijs.ppd.gz checked box in setup to send test page; HP Device Manager reports status "Print job is continuing" Printer says "Printing document" but does nothing. Clicking "Cancel job" in Printer Control tab of HP Device Manager reports status "Canceling". Pressing "X" button at printer says "Canceling", but does nothing. Have to power cycle printer to get back to normal. rebooted, printed test page from HP Device Manager, results as above. Ran hp-check -t Results are in attached hp-check0.log 15 errors ran hp-doctor, results in file hp-doctor.txt in subsequent comment. Fixed all. Ran hp-check -t Results are in hp-check1.log in subsequent comment; no errors. printed test page from HP Device Manager, results as above in YaST, changed printer driver to: HP LaserJet Pro with driver HP LaserJet Pro MFP m127fn, hpcups 3.14.6, requires proprietary plugin printed test page from YaST, nothing to printer; results in error_log in subsequent comment.
