Comment 5 for bug 1338722

I did fix this by manually downloading and installing the debs from the ubuntu utopic repo (3.14.6).
Have had no issues since.

I grabbed hplip and hplip-data from:
http://packages.ubuntu.com/search?keywords=hplip&searchon=names&suite=utopic&section=all
