No A3 support for cp5225dn

Concerns HP Color LaserJet cp5225dn

It is marked as fully supported but

at least on openSuSE 13.1 it is impossible to choose paper size A3.

How to handle this size?

Neither openSuSEs latest package hplip-hpijs-3.13.10-4.2.x86_64 nor downloaded current driver hplip-3.14.1 supports the printers A3 capability!

I tested all drivers: hp-color_laserjet_cp5225dn-hpijs-pcl3.ppd.gz, hp-color_laserjet_cp5225dn-pcl3.ppd.gz, and hp-color_laserjet_cp5225dn-ps.ppd.gz and neither let me choose A3 paper size.

Hello Michael!

I just had a quick look at the PPDs of this printer for hplip 3.10.6 and 3.15.6 and it seems that the newer versions has many of the A3 page entries missing. I haven't examined it in very detail yet, but I'd suggest to just try the PPD from an older version of hplip, e.g. 3.10.6, and see whether this fixes your problem.

Note: I'm not an hplip developer, so I can't help with the actual code without further ado.

Two years have passed (nearly). A3 is still not supported on cp5225dn.

Any new developments?

I have slightly patch PPD, it works for me.
Hope, developers will patch it too sometimes.
