Bug Description

| Moyenne | Total
Catégorie 1 | - 200,45 | -198,00 | (...) | -292,16 | 2000,12
Catégorie 2 | (...)
Catégorie 3 | (...)
Catégorie 4 | (...)
Catégorie 5 | (...)
(...)

Qu'en pensez-vous ?

Hello,

First, I would like to thank you for this great software!

I am also interested in this feature. I think it is also related to following whishes:
 - https://bugs.launchpad.net/homebank/+bug/660275 topic 2

When generating those trends graphics in a line format with categories, I have seen that:
 - for visibility, small categories could be grouped, like it is done in the main window "Where your money goes". Maybe it would be good to select the number of category displayed (5-6-7...)
 - if we could select the order of each category this would help. For example, set at the bottom fixed incomes or expense for a better visualization (see attached picture).

Thank you.

This report is the one I miss the most from my proprietary software days...

The headers along the top read for each month with one additional column for the yearly total.

Each row is a subcategory (indented), with the super-category (not indented) either a leading or trailing total.

One final row at the end shows the cashflow balance for that month (gaining or losing money), which is just the sum of all the above income/expenses.

In Quicken, I'm pretty sure this used to be called "Category Summary", but I was not able to easily find it on the web.

This is the closest I found, which I'll try to attach too:

I'm excited to see this feature scheduled! With this report, I think that homebank will eventually become the #1 open source finance software.

Hi all,

I'm very excited to see this feature brought to life, too!

Here is another possible kind of data visualisation, one line per category:

Just an idea ;)

Cheers,

Hello - just to say thank you for working on this. It's the most useful report for me from MS Money and I'd finally be able to drop it if it appears in Homebank. And Windows too!

Great work Maxime. While populating the table view, do you store the entries that created a particular sum? It would be helpful for a later drill-down feature, if each tablecell would have a list-property that references the original entry that was added in this cell.

For example: you have a sum of "car related expenses" in the last year of xxx €. By double-clicking on the cell you cell a table view with a break-down of each entry in this year, so a table with a date/transaction per row and a column with the individual value.

Bonjour,
Excellent travail Maxime.
Serait-il possible d'ajouter au rapport statistiques dans le temps un niveau de rupture supplémentaire Dépenses/Revenus ou Revenus/Dépenses avec sous-total.
Merci de votre compréhension.

Many many thanks for this report, I can't begin to tell you how incredibly useful this is. I would like to add one request - could you make a vertical total entry, in the same way as you've got a horizontal total? So for example if you've chosen to view by an interval of Month, you basically get a net credit/debit for the month at the bottom of each month column. I know these totals can be obtained in other ways but it would be useful to have them shown on this report.
