Bug Description
I am considering a move from Windows to Linux and have been running Homebank in parallel with MS Money for some time to make sure it works for me.
The only thing I'm missing is what MS Money calls the "Monthly Income and Expenses" report. Reports in Homebank tend to be one-dimensional lists, howevber this is a two-dimensional report with Categories/Sub Categories down the left hand side and Months listed across the top. I can't see any equivalent to this report in Homebank, and it's the one I find most useful in MS Money.
The range of months to use is parameterised, e.g. From: Month/Year, To: Month/Year.
The list of categories is simply the categories that have transactions in the date range.
The report scrolls both horizontally and vertically if there is too much information to fit on the screen.
The format of the report is therefore as follows.
INCOME
Category 1 $$.$$ $$.$$ $$.$$
SubCat 1/1 $$.$$ $$.$$ $$.$$
SubCat 1/2 $$.$$ $$.$$ $$.$$
Category 2 $$.$$ $$.$$ $$.$$
Unassigned $$.$$ $$.$$ $$.$$
Total Income $$.$$ $$.$$ $$.$$
-------
EXPENSES
Category 3 $$.$$ $$.$$ $$.$$
Category 4 $$.$$ $$.$$ $$.$$
SubCat 4/1 $$.$$ $$.$$ $$.$$
SubCat 4/2 $$.$$ $$.$$ $$.$$
Unassigned $$.$$ $$.$$ $$.$$
Total Expenses $$.$$ $$.$$ $$.$$
-------
Income Less Expenses $$.$$ $$.$$ $$.$$
The columns are not lining up in my example report - didn't know whether to use spaces or tabs to see line them up!
