I would like a real optional logging feature (in files), like xchat has.
Also, inside the UI, more than the last 20 message is definitely a requirement. Especially with groups, it's easy to be flooded and then miss some more important stuff. Something like liferea would be nice, i.e. default expiration based on number of messages, or time, and an optional per feed/tab/
