I'm sorry it sounded like a question - I'm pointing out that the default configuration blocks retrieving Samba lists. I disabled the firewall until I was able to manually mount the desired network drive in my directory. I then re-enabled firewall (blocking the samba list), but I don't need the list anymore. It's a bug - but ignore it if you want, I already have a workaround.
