I've spent some time thinking about this idea since I reported this feature request. Having multiple views would be not managable: create and manage 3 separate UI are hard and arduous to maintain. We can inspire by Workflowy in the remake of editor:

In another bug somebody mentioned that we could adopt Tomboy's system for editing items.
FYI, it is possible to make a note in workflowy by special keyboard shortcut / menu item. It is hard because it is not important - workflowy is about making lists, not taking notes.
