yeah the multi-backend seems like a big threshold feature - once you have this it turns gtg from a handy "todo list program" into a powerful "task consolidation and management" killer application.
Btw, I think a readwrite backend to launchpad ought not be that much harder than a readonly one, if using launchpadlib. Dunno how useful it'd be; you could mark bugs done (aka fix released) from gtg as the main usefulness. Anyway, just a thought.
