Typing tags in the task editor causes many incorrect tags in the tag view

Bug Description

I'm running 0.2.9.r1233~precise1, and when a new tag is typed in a task editor, the tags view shows each intermediate tag that is typed. For example, if I type "@Waiting" then the tag view shows the following tags

W 1
Wa 1
Wai 1
Wait 1
..
Waiting 1
