gnome-weather version 41 (Ubuntu 22.04) finds all Lithuanian cities, even very small, but newer version 42 doesn't find the majority of cities, only ~4 cities (Vilnius, Kaunas, Šiauliai, Palanga) which included in libgweather Locations.xml file :(
gnome-weather 41 depends on libgweather-3 in Ubuntu 22.04 and finds all cities, not only included in libgweather Locations.xml file, but gnome-weather 42 depends on libgweather-4, maybe issue is in libgweather?
I've found important info at https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/libgweather/-/issues/173#note_1512594 , but it seems this feature doesn't work since libgweather 4.x :(
> If you're online it'll also query OpenStreetMap, so libgweather isn't limited to only recognising the cities in the bundled Locations.xml
It seems this is an upstream issue, look for example https:/ /gitlab. gnome.org/ GNOME/gnome- weather/ -/issues/ 237
