Maybe that's totally offtopic, but aside from Windows, how other *nix distributions are handling the problem ?
This bug is going on for a really long time now, and I think every time the problem is looked at, the qualified people say it's a design problem. Maybe we should check somewhere else to have some fresh idea ?
