Two weeks ago a friend of mine was using the GIMP to choose a nice color. When he found a color he liked, he copied the hexcode of the color, closed the GIMP and wanted to paste the color in KompoZer. As you can guess this was impossible. It happened a few times to him and he really didn't know what was going on.

A few days ago my father wanted to logon to a website, but he forgot his password. He clicked on the link called "Send me my password", he opened Evolution, copied the password, closed Evolution and wanted to paste the password in Firefox. You all know this is impossible. A few months ago I already told my dad this was impossible, but he forgot, so this time he again tried to use the copy/paste function the Windows way. Again he was confused and didn't know what was happening.

Is it strange we have such a huge passion for this? The Linux way of using copy/paste just is a big, epic fail.
- Not everyone is a programmer;
- We've waiting for a fix since the first release of a graphical interface for Linux, but the progress is still ZERO!!! In all of those years there has been absolutely NO PROGRESS AT ALL and I doubt it ever be fixed.
- True, that's the best solution and that's why I'm going to sell all of my PC's and my laptop. I'm going to buy a few iMacs and MacBooks, because Linux just doesn't work. The market share of Linux is still an epic fail and do you know why? Because of these kind of stupid bugs which keep on bothering people, while there's absolutely no progress in fixing these bugs. The market share of Linux is incredebly low and that's exactly as it needs to be. An operating system which has such bugs since it's first release doesn't even deserve a good market share. Good to see your advice to not use Linux. I've already stopped to advice people to use Linux months ago. I give the advice to use Mac OS, as this works as expected.

Absolutely true.
