I fixed this cosmetic bug. It is available using the revno 91 and Bazaar.

It will be release with the version 0.4 of GNOME Split. Thank you for reporting it.
You may want to test the fix to tell me if it suits your needs.

By the way, I added an option in the preferences dialog to customize the default size of the main window.
